Anamargret Sanchez is Director of Programming and spiritual guide at Enhanced Healing Yoga.
A renowned teacher, she leads meditation and posture-based classes, workshops, retreats, and training programs in the U.S. as well as internationally. Anamargret was initiated into the Himalayan Tantric lineage by her Guru Yogarupa, Rod Stryker, founder of ParaYoga®. She is on the faculty of the Himalayan Institute, and is part of the Yoga International online yoga program.
As a student, Anamargret has been blessed to study with many respected teachers including Manorama, founder of Sanskrit Studies, T.K.V. Desikachar, Leslie Kaminoff, Marlysa Sullivan, and Judith Lasater. She is now a certified Restorative Yoga trainer.
In service to the community, Anamargret founded and continues to teach the long-running and popular community yoga class at Legion Park, at which anywhere from 50 to 100+ people come to practice under the oaks on Saturdays from 10-11am. Anamargret’s classes are challenging, fun, compassionate, and create the space for students to shine in their own light.
Before her foray into yoga Anamargret was an actor/performance artist in NYC. Her debut was with world renowned performance artist Carmelita Tropicana at the historic art-space Dixon Place. She co-founded the performance group Cocofrio with Jose Munoz and Rebecca Sumner-Burgos and has also written and performed one-woman shows. Besides doing stage work, she has also appeared on film and television.
